BIJNOR, Oct. 3, 2024 – Advocate Chandra Shekhar, Member of Parliament for Nagina, presided over a district-level Disha Committee meeting and Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Atrocities Prevention Act 1989 district-level monitoring session at Vikas Bhawan Auditorium at 2 p.m.
Shekhar, addressing public representatives and officials, emphasized that the development of the district requires cooperation between representatives and officials. He stressed the need for regular updates on government schemes and urged collaboration to overcome obstacles to their implementation.
Shekhar directed officials to maintain harmony with public representatives to ensure that the state and central government welfare programs are implemented with high quality, reaching the most vulnerable. He further instructed that all development, welfare, and infrastructure projects be shared with representatives to keep them informed about ongoing works in the district.
Bijnor MP Chandan Chauhan, co-chairing the meeting, urged officials to prioritize public interest and efficiently implement central and state welfare schemes to benefit rural and marginalized communities. Both Shekhar and Chauhan conducted a detailed review of programs from multiple departments, including rural development, agriculture, animal husbandry, and women and child development. They also reviewed the progress reports of key initiatives and provided necessary instructions to officials.
District Magistrate Ankit Kumar Agarwal concluded the meeting by expressing gratitude for the insights provided by the public representatives. He assured that their guidance would be followed meticulously and reaffirmed his commitment to making Bijnor a top-performing district in the state across various sectors. Several key figures, including Chandpur MLA Swami Omvesh, Chief Development Officer Purna Bora, Additional Superintendent of Police Ram Arj PD, and other officials were present.
